All-electric vehicles can be conveniently charged at home, overnight and on-demand, as well as at public charging stations when out and about. No more trips to the gas station needed.

With a range of up to 406 km on the L-FWD and LE-AWD models, you can easily make a return trip to Whistler Village, Manning Park in the Okanagan, or even as far as Portland, Oregon on a single charge from OpenRoad Toyota Peace Arch.

Design

Available on the OpenRoad Toyota bZ4X is a power back door, featuring a kick sensor to offer effortless entry to a roomy and adaptable cargo space. The expansive vistas provided by an optional panoramic moonroof enhance the interior’s welcoming ambiance.

Performance

Electric power delivers immediate torque and smooth acceleration, enhancing the bZ4X's enjoyable driving experience. When fully charged, Front Wheel Drive models can provide up to 406 km of emissions-free travel, or 367 km in All Wheel Drive models, ensuring continuous enjoyment on the open road.

 

The bZ4X marks Toyota's debut with the innovative e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, strategically placing the battery in the chassis' lower section. This design choice results in a reduced center of gravity, which enhances driving performance and heightens your feeling of authority and mastery on the road.

Driving Experience

Due to the utilization of electric motors rather than internal combustion engines, all-electric vehicles deliver seamless acceleration, instant torque response, and an unexpectedly quiet driving experience on the open road.

X-MODE enhances the vehicle's traction off-road by optimizing throttle control and wheel slip according to the selected condition.

X-MODE offers two distinct driving modes:

  • In SNOW/DIRT mode, power to the wheels is reduced to minimize wheel slippage while managing wheelspin to direct power to wheels with better grip.

  • In DEEP SNOW/MUD mode, power to the wheels is increased, allowing for more wheelspin than usual to facilitate momentum buildup when traversing deep snow or mud.

In both modes, Grip Control can maintain a consistent low vehicle speed on steep inclines and slippery roads without requiring input from the accelerator or brake pedals. This steady speed is useful for navigating challenging terrain.

Technology

The OpenRoad Toyota bZ4X comes equipped with user-friendly technology. From a multimedia interface that promotes enhanced engagement through visual, tactile, and vocal interactions to amenities like wireless smartphone connectivity and a Qi-compatible wireless charger, your comfort and convenience take center stage in your overall experience.

Utilize your compatible smartphone to manage your connected services via the Toyota App. You can monitor the battery level, establish a charging schedule, locate charging station sites, and more. The Digital Key enables your compatible smartphone to function as your key fob, permitting you to lock and unlock the car doors and initiate the vehicle's start without the need to remove your device from your pocket.

Safety

The Intelligent Clearance Sonar collaborates seamlessly with the rear cross traffic alert braking system, notifying you of identified obstacles that may obstruct your reverse path on the open road. In the absence of any response, the system is designed to engage the brakes automatically. This feature is accessible on XLE models.

With unlimited possibilities ahead, panoramic view monitors and ultrasonic sensors eliminate the uncertainty from parking. Just choose your spot, activate the Advanced Park function, and the bZ4X will automatically parallel park or reverse into the parking area. This feature is offered on XLE models with the Technology Package.
